The Problem We Saw

In 2024, the digital marketing landscape changed fundamentally. Google’s algorithm updates and the global rollout of AI Mode in search meant that traditional content strategies weren’t just underperforming—they were actively harming businesses’ online visibility.

At the same time, digital agencies faced a brutal reality:

The Content Bottleneck:
  • Quality UK content writers cost £60-120 per hour
  • Agencies couldn’t scale content services profitably
  • Manual content production took weeks, not days
  • Clients demanded more content at lower prices
  • Offshore writers produced content that felt foreign to UK audiences
  • Google’s AI started prioritising different content signals
  • Old SEO tactics stopped working (or became harmful)
  • “Intelligent content”—content engineered for AI systems—became essential
  • Most businesses had no idea how to adapt
  • Companies had thousands of outdated blog posts losing rankings
  • Manually updating old content would take years
  • But leaving it outdated was dragging down entire domains

We knew there had to be a better way.

The Solution: Lyxity

We built Lyxity to solve these problems specifically for the UK and European markets:

An AI content writer that:
  • Understands UK English (optimise, not optimize)
  • Generates SEO-optimised content in minutes, not hours
  • Costs a fraction of hiring writers
  • Maintains consistent quality
  • Scales infinitely without overhead
  • Update thousands of legacy posts automatically (no other AI writer does this)
  • Connect to Google Console for live performance data
  • Integrate directly as a plugin within WordPress, Drupal, Wix
  • Create internal links, CTA links, and remove broken links automatically
  • Allow agencies to white-label and resell under their brand
  • UK and Irish agencies serving local markets
  • European businesses requiring GDPR compliance
  • Global agencies needing multi-language support
  • Anyone who wants AI-powered content that actually ranks

Meet the Team Behind Lyxity

James McWilliams – Founder & CEO

James McWilliams is the founder and CEO of Lyxity, bringing over 15 years of digital marketing and SEO expertise to the platform.

The Background:

After spending over a decade working with digital agencies across the UK and Ireland, James witnessed first-hand the content challenges that limited agency growth. Agencies were turning away business because they couldn’t deliver content at scale profitably. Meanwhile, search engines were evolving faster than most businesses could adapt.

“I watched agencies spend thousands on content that Google’s AI simply ignored,” James explains. “Brilliant writers, solid SEO knowledge, but the content wasn’t structured in a way that AI systems could understand and value. Meanwhile, agencies couldn’t afford to hire enough writers to produce the volume of content modern SEO demands.”

The Vision:

James founded Lyxity with a clear mission: democratise access to “intelligent content”—content strategically engineered for AI systems whilst remaining genuinely helpful to human readers.

“We’re not trying to replace content writers or marketers,” James emphasises. “We’re giving them superpowers. Lyxity handles the heavy lifting—the research, the structure, the optimisation—so marketing professionals can focus on strategy, creativity, and the human insights that AI can’t replicate.”

Today:

Under James’s leadership, Lyxity serves agencies and businesses across the UK, Ireland, Australia, and the United States. The platform has generated over 12 million words of content, optimised 2,500+ articles, and helped businesses achieve an average 62% improvement in search rankings.

His mission remains clear: helping businesses not just survive but thrive in an AI-dominated search landscape.
